So after covering some of the boring statistical data what does that mean?

Fairfax in Briargate, Colorado SpringsWe’ll start with a typical Briargate house.  This house is in the Fairfax neighborhood of Briargate (between Research Parkway on the north and Woodmen Road on the south and between Austin Bluff Blvd. on the west and Powers Blvd. on the south.  This house sold for around $230,000.  It was built in the mid 90’s and has just under 2000 finished square feet.

Appeal:

  • Newer homes

  • District 20 Schools are generally quite good

  • Home Owners Associations (HOA) protect the neighborhoods from looking run down.

  • Many of the new neighborhoods (like Wagon Tongue) have amenities that are not find in older subdivisions.  These include weight rooms and pools for example.

Not so much:

  • Fewer mature trees - newer homes mean new vegetation

  • HOA's stick their nose into your business.

  • HOA dues can run $30, $40, $50 or $70 per month depending on the amenities you are paying for.

Visit other neighborhoods.  Leave Briargate Real Estate.
